Class Information

Andrea Mowry

After leaving her life as a pastry chef, Andrea's hands found the necessary freedom to begin creating with fiber instead of flour. She focuses on designing knits to fit the modern wardrobe – fun to knit and easy to wear. Andrea has a great love for indulging in new techniques and skills and then sharing them with other knitters thru her patterns and workshops. Her goal is to leave knitters feeling empowered, inspired, and wrapped up in their own beautiful knits! You can find her at www.dreareneeknits.com and everywhere else as DreaReneeKnits!

Fearless Steeking Workshop: Shake off the fear of steeking and leave with a wee stack of adorable coasters for all your knit night bevies! In this class we will let our hair down, cut some stitches and learn why cutting our knitting won't make it all fall apart. We will practice crochet reinforcement, picking up our stitches for a tidy edging, and of course, snipping our steeks!

*Please note that this class involves homework.*

Skill Level: The homework involves knitting stranded colorwork in the round, the actual class will include picking up stitches and knitting in the round.

Kate Burge-Tibi is one of the founders of Spincycle Yarns, a yarn mill/dye house located in Bellingham Washington. Kate has been a dedicated fiber artist since she decorated her doll house in knit and crochet finery at age 8. Since learning to knit and spin at twenty, she’s pursued an entire life full of all things yarn! As her forty something confidence grows, she is thrilled to enter the teacher space, and hopes to share her undying (or dyeing) passion and wealth of experience with other lovers of all things fiber.

Unlocking The Mysteries of Spincycle, With Kate Burge-Tibi

In this class, we will cover all things Spincycle, including tips and tricks to make this unique yarn a successful addition to your knits. We will cover tips and tricks to make your color work contrast a success, and unlock the mystery of how to match your sleeves!
